"Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the action that we do." - Mother Teresa

Grade 10 Confirmation: Welcome to Confirmation I Preparation! Throughout this year our 10th grade class will meet in Lubich Hall and study from the "Chosen" Confirmation study program. Our classes will incorporate games, prayer, large group teaching, small group discussion, Scripture study, and group activities. Confirmation prep will also involve service work, choosing a sponsor, attending a retreat, and choosing a Confirmation name. Contact Tessa with questions.
Grade 11 Confirmation: Confirmation II Preparation is going to be an exciting year of study and expedition! A majority of the year, the Confirmation II students will join the Confirmation I students in Lubich Hall on Wednesday nights to study from the "Chosen" Confirmation study program. At times throughout the year they will also have the opportunity to go out in our community to experience aspects of our faith first-hand at a Carmelite Monastery, a college Newman Center, and a funeral home. Confirmation II prep will also involve service work, a Sponsor and Candidate session, writing a letter of intent to our bishop, and a closing interview. Contact Tessa with questions.

Every year God calls together an amazing team of catechists to lead our children and youth in Faith Formation classes!
If you are feeling called to serve as a small group leader for grade 10-11 Confirmation, a leader or classroom aide for grades 2-9, or a leader for grades Prek-1 during Sunday School, please contact Tessa or Diane.
Here is what some of our catechists are saying:
"I became a catechist because I felt a tugging at my heart even when I thought I didn’t want to be one and thought I wasn’t qualified. It is a true joy to be a part of the youth’s faith journey, especially when you witness one of their ‘aha’ moments. My faith has grown a lot as well." ~Alisa Raehsler
"It is an extraordinary honor to have been able to mentor a group of St. B's tenth graders through a year of their Confirmation formation. I didn't think I'd be able to do this for two years in a row, but my beautiful students really wanted me to journey with them for their second year of study/prayer. How could I resist? They're an inspiration with all of their many graces of youth while each pondering life itself and why God put us here. Guess who got the most out of this relationship? You got it! Me" ~Marius Andahazy
"For the past two years, I've had the opportunity to serve in a Catechist role as a small group leader for Confirmation. I love seeing the 10th and 11th graders grow in their faith throughout their two-year journey. I have learned so much from them and their perspectives as they make their faith journey toward getting confirmed. I leave each Wednesday night feeling renewed in my own convictions. These young adults inspire me as I journey on the path that God has laid out for me." ~Gretchen Stoffel
