Readers proclaim the word of God. "Proclaiming the Word" is not simply reading, but putting meaning and feeling into the Word. Readers have a sacred privilege and commitment to the liturgy of the church.
Joining the Group
There is an orientation program for all Reader candidates. We also have an on-going enrichment program for all Readers.
Meetings
You are urged to attend the two all-reader meetings each year. Traditionally, these occur in October and February. Through these gatherings, opportunities are provided for discussion, personal growth and self-improvement in the Scripture Reader ministry.
