How do I become a Catholic?
CIC – Christian Initiation of Children
This is s a process where young people from the ages of 7 – 17, who are not yet baptized or who have not been brought up in the Catholic faith, come into full communion in the church. They are prepared to receive the sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Each year we have the RCIA Process (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) for those joining the Catholic Church.
This is the process for adults who have not been baptized, have been baptized in another faith community, or who were baptized in the Catholic Church but were not raised in the Catholic faith. They journey with sponsors to discover their place in the Catholic community. There are presentations with faith sharing of the various speakers each week discussing an aspect of the Catholic Christian faith.
This process is open to people who are interested in joining the Catholic Faith. If interested, contact Father Harris for more information via email or by calling (715)425-1879 ext 103. The sessions begin each fall and last to several weeks after Easter.
