Adult Faith Formation

Human growth and development is a life-long process. Therefore, ongoing faith development and spiritual formation of adults is vital to the spiritual life of the parish. Just as we spend time and energy on growing intellectually and professionally, it is also important to make our religious development an important aspect of our lives. St. Bridget Parish offers a variety of opportunities for faith formation and spiritual growth. We hope you find something that fills your needs and feeds your spirit; the growth of each person enhances that of the entire body of Christ.

New this year…adult faith formation options on Wednesday nights, 6:30-8pm, October –April. Here are the highlights:

  • There is no cost for any of the sessions and popcorn will be provided!
  • You can join at any time, and it is ok to miss and then come back.
  • You can pick and choose which track you want to attend each week - you are not obligated to stay in one track.
  • Free babysitting for children 6 months to 5 years of age will be provided so that everyone can attend. Please let us know if you will need childcare and for how many so we can plan to have enough babysitters available. Send us an email now! If you plan to be using the childcare on a regular basis, please just let us know and you will not need to RSVP for each session.

Choose the topics that interest you from these 3 tracks:

1) Scripture/Spiritual: Quick Journey through the Bible with Jeff Cavins, Nooma DVD & Discussion, Women In the Bible, The Sacraments, The Last 7 Utterances, & Great Religions of the World

2) Life Experience: Nooma DVD & Discussion, Children and Grief, Word By Word (learning about the Roman Missal), Michelangelo, Fr. Solanus Casey, Parenting-The Early Years Video Study, Finding Christ In Your Marriage Book Study

*We need people interesting in attending the session "Finding Christ in Your Marriage" to please register in advance so we can order the appropriate materials. Please go to the registration form here to sign up before February 27, 2012.
